yikes.
So, I went to the doctor and the general thought is that I have fluid beneath my kneecap. Which, actually, is what I expected. If the problem persists over the next few weeks, back to a doctor (and hopefully by then, I'll have a GP, and I can stop going to walk in clinics and waiting around for two hours.
Now, I guess my knee is fairly swollen because he prescribed an anti-inflammatory. I just picked it up, and I read the side effects, and DUDE, what the hell is this guy prescribing me?! jeesh.
Here are the potential side effects:
I don't tend to take drugs - I mean, I've had tylenol with codeine, both when I've had surgery and when my ear drums burst (oh, that's a post in and of itself), I've had various aspirin and advil and tons of antibiotics, but, you know. This probably takes the cake.
Obviously, these side effects won't necessarily happen. But man, will it suck, if for example, I get really dizzy. Sensitivity to light, I can handle. It's called SPF 55. And, you know, in general avoiding too much direct sunlight. Buzzing in the ears - I have tinnitus already, so, meh. But dizzy or severe nausea? ugh.
I promise, internet, if I go crashing into a wall, or if I start stumbling around like a drunken person (but! I won't be drunk! because! NO BOOZE!), or projectile vomiting, I'll be sure to let you all know. :)
